According to my father's certificate of identity, he moved to 143 Dyckman Street in New York City, to live and work in his brother's restaurant, the Canton Restaurant. From 1939 to 1942, the City of New York conducted a tax assessment where every building in New York was photographed. The Canton Restaurant is in the center.
